BioDiagnostics West, LLC is a standard seed testing laboratory opened in Twin Falls, Idaho by owners, Pat Brownfield, RST, Quentin Schultz, RST, and Marilyn Schultz. Our new facility, occupying 6,000 square feet, was designed to better serve your seed testing requirements without concern for capacity issues. Our laboratory can provide standard seed testing, including viability, physical purity, noxious weed exams, tetrazolium testing, conductivity testing, controlled deterioration, moisture testing, soil testing, usable transplant tests, and other vigor testing on all species using AOSA, ISTA, or Canadian M&P methods. Web based reporting is also available to all clients allowing you to download testing information into an excel format.

Pat Brownfield, president and operating manager, is a Registered Seed Technologist, past president of the Society of Commercial Seed Technologist, and brings with her 30+ years of experience in seed testing with a special emphasis on quality assurance, regulatory issues, exporting concerns, and lab accreditation.

The current staff brings a combined total of 115 + years of testing knowledge with an in depth knowledge of seed vigor, germination issues, purity identification, and tetrazolium testing. BioDiagnostics West employs two Registered Seed Technologists with a total staff of 10 skilled and motivated employees, to test your samples with no waiting.

Our laboratory staff is fully trained for testing vegetable seed, field crops, herbs, flowers, cereals, sugar beets, and small seeded legumes. We offer a wide spectrum of standard seed testing services including vigor testing, soil testing, QA consulting, and test development upon request.
